A Critical Review of "A Critical Review of BSPRRS (ACFT Study)"

Honestly this exsum format makes my eyes cross. It seems Novak updated it at the bottom on Nov 2020, so I’ll assume that’s true.

Knowing who funded is always important. Researchers can claim with statistical validity that hot dogs take 15 minutes off your life… that doesn’t mean its reliable.

After reading the 2013 study it seems like they modeled the WTBDs with input from drills and vets. I didn’t see the actual standards published. That also makes me concerned that the standards were set in order to get above the 0.8 threshold.

It’s obvious the ACFT tests more fitness “domains” but I feel like it’s being disingenuous about its predictive value in order to justify the possible negative impacts.

Though this is coming from someone with 3 Cr hours in statistics so take that for what you will.
