People act like reddit is the center of the universe and an essential replacement for a school system and news subscription. Reddit is just an easily gamed upvote-based message board, mostly frequented by male teenagers to look at porn (embarrassing) and cat pics (more embarrassing).

Like, if I was put in charge of reddit and asked to make it a more literate place, banning gallowboob would be like #2384 on my to-do list to accomplish that.
