Requirements for Isolation - Enough to block out unwanted noise in public transport and noisy lecture halls, but I can hear if I'm about to get hit by a car or something.

Preferred Type of Headphone - in-ear

Preferred tonal balance - Mostly balanced with medium amount of bass. I like to hear the instruments clearly.

Past headphones - Sennheiser CX 300 II Precision (twice), some AKG, stock earphones that came with phones

Preferred Music - Rock, Rap, sometimes EDM

What would you like to improve on from your set-up - Symmetrical and more durable cable.

I'm looking for something similar to my current CX 300 II which is on its way out. The cable is breaking again as it did before with all my earphones, even though I'm not really rough with them. The sound quality, fit and form is absolutely great, but I'd prefer symmetrical cables for comfort reasons. Another really important thing is that the new earphone should be just as compact as the CX 300 II. I just can't stand if the earphone sticks out of my ear.
