You think anyone thought Trump was electable? Most didn't in 2016, let alone in 2013.

You can't compare Trump to Warren. Trump was able to win by playing off racial fears of uneducated whites. Warren won't have the same luxury.

The American public has a different standard for male and female candidates. Trump was able to get on a stage and yell. The minute Warren does that during a national campaign she will be crucified in the media. She will be portrayed as a shrill woman who needs to be quiet. We saw this during the primary of 2008 and election of 2016. It isn't socially acceptable for women to do this like it is for men.

Someone fiery who can form a strong cult of personality,

A male candidate will be able to be fiery. A fiery woman will be seen negatively among the electorate.

extremely intelligent (Harvard academic intelligent, literally

Her education alone won't help her.

We need to take the old playbook, tear it up into pieces, throw the pieces into the fire, and toss the ashes out the window.

I don't necessarily agree with this. Democrats don't need to over correct and nominate Oprah or Mark Cuban. When Democrats nominate young charismatic candidates they win eg. JFK, Obama, Bill Clinton, etc. When Democrats nominate boring policy wonks, eg. Al Gore, John Kerry, Michael Dukakis, Hillary Clinton, they lose. The problem is that Democrats always seem to forget this. They forgot this is 2000,2004, and 2016. Old boring northeastern policy wonks don't win elections.

Find me a Jason Kander or Beto Orourke to run in 2020 and we'll win the election in a landslide. Nominate Kirsten Gillibrand or Andrew Cuomo and our chances of winning plummet.
