I am at a loss with my favourite every day shoes...

Coming from Metal/Gothic and with that, typical steeltoed boots during my youth, I started to set them aside for more comfortable and casual looking combat boots, namely Lowa Recons. I loved them, as they seemed to me as the perfect hybridization between real boots and sneakers. Not too heavy, not too light, they carried me through my every day office business, many Winters in the alps, as well as the deepest parts of rural Asia (they were a PITA with every visit in a temple though, maybe even a little goofy right next to dozens of pairs of flip-flops of locals...).

Sadly, so it seems, they are now discontinued and everywhere I look my size is already sold out. Now I am somewhat at a loss, as my pair that I am wearing right now is slowly degrading to an unacceptable level and I got no clue what I should jump onto now.

My clothing is... let's say consistent. Black regular fit jeans, black snug-fitted t-shirt without brand logo or print.
I like it most, it fits me best, so why wear anything else, right? Never quite understood fashion myself.

Does anybody have an idea or can nudge me into a direction with what I could replace my habitual shoes? Anybody got experience with similar boots?
