Gov. Ron DeSantis Highlights Progress On Everglades Restoration Projects

I have been a DeSantis fan from the get go, just for context. I would call myself a conservative but I donate lots of time and money to conservation, particularly Ducks Unlimited. The health of our natural resources is important to me not only as a Floridian, but as an American and North American. It bothers me when people say Gov DeSantis has fallen into the, admittedly deserved, anti-regulation Republican stereotype. Which Adam Putnam also fell victim too, for those who don't know he is currently the CFO of Ducks Unlimited. The health of our waterways and the restoration of the everglades drainage basin was NOT a priority of Rick Scott or Charlie Christ. I voted for Ron DeSantis, not because he was a Republican, but because he was the first candidate that talked about fighting for the health of our ecosystem. He did it as a US Congressman when he lobbied for funding for the Lake Okeechobee dike project, and he continues to do it with policy from Tallahassee.

I'd vote Ron for President in a heart beat, and I'd feel a whole lot better than checking the box next to Trump's name.
