DBG; Producer & Devs

As a fish (a $300+ fish) I thank you for whale paying for the game development and the coke lines management do, because I legitimately wanted this game to consistent and enjoyable. I should note I despise whale driven business models, and it's one of many reasons why I hate this company.

I've given up. They're sleazeballs. There is no amount that would ever "fix" anything, and quite frankly I'm not sure they don't break stuff routinely intentionally. It sounds crazy doesn't it. Why break your own product? So players have a patch to look forward to, to market off the hopes of that someday, the game will reflect how they imagine it should be played. I don't know if it's true but that's the level of faith I have in Daybreak Games. And this carries over. I have no desire to ever play any other Daybreak Games product, because of these lack of product care and that all games share the same feedback.

Everything with them is pulling teeth as opposed to frosted toppings. And they keep projecting this idea of the entitled gamer expecting vs the hard working company too much. "Accurate, well made sights? Maxes that don't slide along the ground? God you guys are just so pedantic aren't you? Do you even go outside?" They keep trying to place themselves as professionals while every player is a basement dweller. The problem is, is they act more like rude assholes who never deliver, and the playerbase are obviously various in disposition (reasonable to angry), so they just come off as rude assholes for the most part. Because most companies have pride in their products they sell and actively seek to improve it or at the very least recognize their players are their income and are diplomatic at least.

I don't even care about hackers, although it's been unbelievably apparent that the company does not care until it hits the front page of /r/planetside. But if the game is online, it has hackers and it's always going to have hackers. It's multiplayer herpes, everyone has it.

I'm happy you were happy to give so much to the company, but at the same time I sternly do not believe they don't deserve your patronage and I don't like supporting those who just fish for disposable income. To me, that is con man level of game development, and we can do without it.

I love the communities, I love the outfits, I love the players, I loved the game as best I could, I despise the company and can't wait to see it six feet under. And honestly all I do when I come to /r/planetside is see if the company changes (HA!) or the community rebels forcing them to make business model concessions, aka money for goods and services not money for the chance of a good and very lucky for service ever and that's $5 for triangles on one aircraft.
