US border issues are often framed in terms of racism while this issue between two Central American countries is not.
Maybe that's because for most of the Republican party, it IS a race issue? You ever stop to think that maybe it's being framed accurately? When you have over half the party believing that the majority of Mexican immigrants are rapists and murderers or gang members, then you have a problem with racists in your party.
It's being framed as a race issue because the main person pushing for building the wall constantly is a raging racist. Sorry if the truth makes you defensive and I don't know if you are racist, but most of the people pushing hard for a border wall are definitely, undoubtedly racist.
