OK, so the Democrats are playing to their base going into the mid-term elections, but is there any evidence that these companies would ever do anything? Or just a lot of mostly paranoid suggestion that they would? Given the anti-tech company fervor going on at the moment, I think this is mainly paranoia. I am in favor of legal abortion, but notice that the Supreme Court has not even handed down a ruling on Roe vs. Wade yet, and already some people are living in a future where tech companies are keeping tabs on women to prevent them from obtaining abortions. Let's try to remain rational and rooted in what is actually happening in the world, and not start acting as if dark Orwellian futures that might happen are already happening.
