Denis Villeneuve on the MCU

I'd love to see a Dennis Villeneuve take on an MCU movie.

But also, that's kind of the success of them, isn't it? When people watch Marvel Movies, they watch them for the comfort of knowing what they're in for. That's why people keep re-watching the same movies on a rainy day, or a show they've seen a million times before.

People don't want a new experience every time they're looking to be entertained. It's an art in itself to recognize this human behavior and capitalize on it, and if we're being fair the MCU puts A LOT more work into the movies than they need to. Look at Star Wars. Look at Pokemon.

Usually, when properties get "too big to fail", they turn to shit because enough people will always give their money to make it worth it no matter how terrible the product is. With the MCU they're still trying new stuff and putting work and passion into these movies even when they're sticking to a formula.
