1 - NGL, I feel this. I was right there. 2 - I live in a US state where medical and recreational marijuana is legal. That said, I am a proponent of D8 and I will tell you why. My GF is an alcoholic who battled OxyContin and Ativan (a fucker of a benzodiazepine). For the first time in 6 years I have wanted to propose to her. Yes, she is in recovery and is taking D8 edibles daily as needed. She does vape on occasion. D8 is not for everyone, but it does NOT present the same high (if one at all) as other strains. Yes it is newer to many but it has been a game changer for people in recovery because it is not a cerebral high and it helps in mindfulness and meditation exercise. D8 users here want sobriety and want to be clean or else they would be reaching for D9. They are in control of their thoughts and at the same time less tense. If a US state has not legalized marijuana (yet), then the person could just as easily find D9 gummies, cartridges, etc.

They know the difference and how it affects them.

Simplest way to put it is I will take lesser version of “Cali sober” over her active alcoholism and anger any day as long as she is in a program. May luck and peace find you both!
