I think the thing that pisses me off most about destiny lately is just how lazy his arguments have become, and how hastily he arrives at them because it feels like they agree with his preconceptions.
For example, take his point that the larger voter participation in national elections vs. local elections as PROOF that disenfranchisement is a negligible factor when it comes to voter turnout in local elections. This is a VERY hasty conclusion and doesn't even begin to do the subject justice. I won't pretend to be an expert on the subject, but I can immediately throw in several confounding factors that would have to be analyzed like:
etc. etc, I just find it really sleazy and lazy to throw that one point out there and confidently/arrogantly conclude it proves his larger point about disenfranchisement being negligible.
