Did you find it difficult to give up alcohol when trying to get pregnant/pregnant?

I didnt drink a lot in the first place, but there is a lot of research there that states moderate alcohol consumption has no effect on a pregnancy. Most doctors don't trust women with their own abilities and tell them not to drink. Funny enough this statement gets stronger with race and socioeconomic placement. My first child in had to use a charity Dr and was told to abstain completely while my 2nd I was much better off and had a nice Dr in a nice part of town and was told a single serving of alcohol day was totally fine. I never drank that much though because I didn't drink that often anyway. I did share a frozen margarita a few times and would sip a cider every now and then. I didn't feel guilty about it and my baby is totally fine.

I've breastfed the past year and would highly recommend researching how alcohol effects breastmilk. The idea that you have to "pump and dump" is considered outdated now. Basically if you're safe to drive, your breastmilk is safe to drink. There are a lot of good articles out there.

Congrats on this next step in your future. May all your babies be sticky ones and your morning sickness be short. :)
