Just because the game breaks your grind, you are not suddenly owed the money you could have spent grinding. You aren't losing money because you weren't wasting time, so you can't be compensated. You didn't employ a workaround, you just used an exploit and are trying to justify with "I could have made that money legitimately". You didn't spend X to get Y so you are not owed Y. Exploiting a little vs a lot may or not merit a ban, that is up to R*. You knew it was an exploit and you took advantage of it.
