You read in the history books a story. You go to school and they tell you the same story. You ask your parents and they say it too. We were dragged into a war. A war on such a huge scale that there has never been one of that magnitude since. A war were civilizations fell and new border were. A war we were forced into kicking and screaming, where millions of young men and women died. Were we were attacked unprovoked and unready. A war we ended. The story says we created the world strongest, deadliest, and fiercest weapon in all of human history. And we claim victory. Flaunt our flag and say “yes, it was ended by our hands”. Years pass, you forget, you forgive. But they don’t. They may have brought us in but they are always ready. Today I finally see their plan. I see they have hit us so hard that earth may never recover again. This was always the endgame. What are our bombs in front of this? In front of absolute power? What can one do to erase their mind of this? You look down, the rain flowing over you, you realize your on your knees. You will never be the same man. They had won.
