To share my personal experience, something still feels wrong. I play exclusively doubles solo queue - in season 2 I was around division 3 of "champion" level. I can play decently well but I'm never gonna have the skill of someone like kronovi. And that's fine, I'm just happy to play competitive games against people who are roughly as good as me. Occasionally I got matched with/against super-champions and that's fine too, I learnt a bit playing them and it was still fun.

In season 3, I can't get out of shooting star - not that I have a problem with that as long as the games are fun. But the problem is, as soon as I string two wins together, I'm instantly put in a game with 3 other "season 2 grand champion"'s. I feel like a total weak link, my teammate justifiably gets angry, we frequently lose heavily and it's no fun for anyone. I've had dozens of matches like that - it's 3 weeks in, why are all these ex-GC's still in shooting star?

Like I said, I don't mind the ocassional and slight mis-match in skill, it's natural and how people get ranked in the first place. But to get repeatedly dicked on by pre-made partnerships of ex-GC's, isn't fun at all. And yet I've barely seen any posts on the sub about it lately, so I'm wondering if I'm the only one in this situation.
