Yeah the Democrats that do care mostly just push for more gun control. I don't know of anyone seriously trying to ban or overturn the second amendment.

I've also noticed there's actually a ton of progressives and leftists that own firearms but don't ever discuss it. Like the whole "Silent Majority" stuff with conservatives. And outside the progressives that are quietly in favor of guns, there's even a not statistically insignificant number of progressives own guns even though they believe private gun ownership should be heavily curtailed, because if it must be legal, then they feel obligated to be armed so as not to be screwed if shit ever really hits the fan.
