[Discussion] What is the creepiest paranormal-ish thing you've ever experienced?

Used to live in a huge 100 year old house. Now it would be around 120 years old. We got our first home computer and set it up in the spare room. The house was built by a doctor orignially and had one room which locked from the outside upstairs which we used as a spare room. I originally assumed it was probably where the doctor kept his medicines since doctors back in those days dispensed their own.

I let the kids play some kid's game on it for an hour or so before bedtime the first night, then started using it to look at places we might go for vacation. I was excited and did not realize it was getting very late. Around 12:30 - 1 AM I suddenly got this overwhelming feeling of someone starring at me from one corner wishing to do me great bodily harm is the best I can explain it. It just sort of crept over me all of a sudden and it filled me with so much fear and dread I felt I could not move.

I recalled a time when friends and I had tuned in to a Bible thumping preacher to laugh at his antics and his sermon was all about speaking the name of Jesus to drive away the devil or something along that line. I didn't want to sound stupid if any of my sleeping family happened to wake so I started singing "Jesus loves the little children" and the feeling slowly dissipated

I told myself it was probably me just being half dreaming from exhaustion and let it go. Until it happened a second time. I began to feel dread when entering that room. Then I caught my kids on the computer late one night after they were supposedly in bed. It gave me a great excuse to move the computer desk into my room, so I wasn't entirely mad about that.

We moved away a few years later. A couple of years after the move I was driving my kids and some of their friends to an activity and someone the kids all started discussing paranormal experiences. My kids told a very similar story about feeling something wanted to murder them every time they would sneak over and play the computer late at night. They said the time I had caught them, they were freaking out because unlike other times when they were able to just leave and go hide under their covers, that time they felt paralyzed and could not break free until I came into the room when it suddenly seemed to disappear.

I've got to admit sometimes I wonder what in the world that doctor kept locked in that room.
