No, GC is extremely lazy and allowed to do whatever he wants. He can do, seriously, no wrong. He didn't want to go to school and their backwoods public school passed him two years in a row even after pointing out he had only attended less than 30 percent of the days of school. He can just say, "I don't want to go to school today," and he doesn't go. He is behind now because nobody makes him learn and so he has been pulled out to be home schooled, which is a terrible idea because FIL is an idiot outside of mathematics and MIL is an idiot all the way around.
He is morbidly obese and MIL tells doctors it's because he's supposed to be really tall, but can't comprehend that he won't get to his projected height with all this extra weight. She says his and her weight are both genetic but MIL and GC are the only obese people in the family. Genetics has nothing to do with the multiple thousands of calories he puts away over what is a normal limit for him. He has developed an extremely unhealthy attachment to food and I've seen him cry because someone grabbed a handful of chips out of the family sized bag he was working on.
He has no social skills and anytime something doesn't go his way he throws a fit like a toddler until mama rhino comes flying in to save him. He doesn't know what it's like to be fair. If I buy something for teen BIL for an event (birthday, class award, drivers license) she goes out and buys the same thing plus more for GC because he "feels left out." If older son gets a birthday gift and doesn't want to open it yet, GC can scream that older brother isn't sharing and MIL will make older BIL open the gift, let GC play with it first, and older BIL gets scolded.
MIL is super religious and strict about how DH (a grown ass man) and older BIL talk and behave, but GC has the mouth of a sailor and is 11 years old. I've heard him use language that I never would have heard at his age. I've heard him say cum guzzler, dirty cunt, dick slap, fish pussy, etc. and MIL just laughs about it.
GC's room doesn't have a bed, just a couch pulled right up to the tv and toys everywhere. He sleeps in his parent's room in a little bed set up for him. I honestly think the pee bottles are just because his personal bathroom is filthy and it's easier than cleaning. If he waits long enough his mom will clean it all up for him.
I think she has lost control of her home because of her own negligence and is having a hard time taking it back.
