Dissociation has become a mainstream term and people are not using it right (rant)

Yeah, I probably overgeneralize based on my own experience with therapy and talking to people online who decide not to look for therapy because others have told them it's inaccessible instead of looking for themselves...the situation of mental healthcare still sucks ass and it's not all sunshine and roses.

From my experience with social services, they offered short term care and assisted with finding long term care, working with my insurance and the options in my area. My most recent experience was with the counselors at my university, who contacted several DBT programs with me to find one that would defer payments.

Typically sessions at these places are limited due to the high demand, but they have close relationships with other programs and know how to talk to them and your insurance to make it easier to find help than it is to just call around on your own.
