This thread has taught me that people are still generally unfamiliar with Northwest Arkansas, its culture, and demographics. This is a good thing if you're looking for the actual "next Austin", because Fayetteville is a serious contender for that title. Yes, it is in Arkansas, a Southern red state, so the knee-jerk reaction is to balk, but people -- we live in Austin, Texas. We of all people should know that there can be good and decent people and communities in Southern red states.

I'm guessing that the post is to complain that the family appears to be White or Hispanic? Northwest Arkansas is very different demographically from the rest of the state, with a significantly smaller African-American population and a significantly larger Hispanic population. I'm not sure what is controversial about showing a White or Hispanic family riding bikes in a predominately White and Hispanic town, but I'm old.
