Division Series Game 3 - The Braves fell to the Phillies by a score of 9-1 - Fri, Oct 14 @ 04:37 PM EDT

I believe they are capable of coming back, but this series is making me think about the toll it takes for push to achieve a goal, and then having enough to revamp and immediately be able to get back into a competitive mindset. To avoid the lull after the release of achieving that initial goal. I wonder if that is something that is affecting the Braves. They achieved the long hard fight of catching the Mets, staying in that super competitive mode for 4 months. Then to turn around and look almost non competitive once they are in the playoffs. I mean yeah, it could be said, that's baseball. It's streaky. But two other examples of it to me would be the 2021 Dodgers and Aaron Judge currently. The Dodgers, just like the Braves just did, fought the Giants all the way to the division series. When they came out it, they didn't seem to have much left. The Braves definitely earned that series, but the Dodgers didn't feel like the boogie man they usually do. And Aaron Judge gave everything to achieve 62 and is now struggling mightily in the playoffs. Almost like he achieved his main goal and he can't get the juice back up to fully compete now. I don't know, just thinking about those similarities.
