Model UN Speech draft:

Thank you honorable chair, and good afternoon fellow delegates.

In 1989 South Africa willingly disposed of its nuclear arsenal as Communism fell in many places on the African continent. To this day, we are still the only country to have voluntarily dismantled its nuclear arsenal. This is something we take pride in as a nation, and we hope that one day every country can follow suit.

As it stands, nearly 15,000 nuclear warheads exist in the world today, and we can't simply hope to easily convince everyone to give up their weapons out of the kindness of their hearts. That's why we support slow, multilateral negations, that gradually reduce the number of nuclear warheads in the world. Recent behavior taken by one of our fellow delegates [referring to the DPRK here, not the US] has not helped this process go along, but we hope to continue this slow and arduous journey anyway.

That's why we support every nation signing onto the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons, and more bilateral talks between nuclear powers to reduce nuclear stockpiles. And slowly, eventually signing onto full nuclear prohibition treaties.
