Doctor Strange and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse were right. Parallel universes exist. Some are extremely different, while others are very similar. Some bright scientist has discovered a way to visit these universes. What's the first one you'd visit, and why?

Earth-2, which is an analog of our Earth, but the following things didn't happen in its timeline:

  • Volkswagen did not cheat on emissions in 2015 and the scandal did not happen.

  • Autonomous vehicles/self-driving cars fizzled out in 2017 and research just ground to a halt, as public popularity for the idea waned in early 2018.

  • Donald Trump was elected U.S. President in 2017, and while not as batshit insane as our world's counterpart, he was still noted for Twitter rants and won the November 2020 election. Compared to our world's equivalent, he's more like Willy Wonka than a dictator.

  • Selena Gomez in this universe is living in Preston, Lancashire and lives in the posh end called Fulwood in a leafy housing estate, although she still has a house in the U.S. as a second home and never gave up the U.S. citizenship.

  • Justin Trudeau did not win the 2019 Canadian federal election and become Prime Minister, instead a woman called Sabrina Therriault won. She's a Franco-Ontarian and although not as eccentric as Trump, is noted for such things as wearing a crop top in public and dressing down as Prime Minister.

  • Brexit happened, but the outcome was a lot more peaceful than in our world

  • Chrysler/Dodge became trendy in China

  • COVID-19 did not happen.

I'd visit this universe as it's familiar, but also slightly different from our own.
