Dickhead denialists can say what they want. I've been a firefighter for almost 25 years. In that time the 'season' has grown from 3 months max to 9 months minimum. I hardly get any time off because the 'off season' consists of hazard reduction burns.

40 years ago, whilst I was a kid(ish), the season was 6 weeks and then it rained for 4 months. Without fail. This change in my relatively short lifetime.
