Does anyone else get really annoyed by this?

That's one of the most frustrating arguments I hear. "Homosexuality is a choice." Who in their right mind would choose that? I can think of absolutely no benefit that would come of voluntarily deciding to be gay when I already have the insane privilege that comes with being straight. Sure, I'd love to be treated as a second-class citizen by way too many people because it's so much fun to pretend to be in love with someone that has facial hair.

Being gay is HARD. Why would anyone fake it?

It's the toughest question to be asked as a Christian. It inevitably comes up any time an atheist wants to get in a theological tussle. What can I say? I don't believe that the God I have a relationship with would create someone purposely such that if they fall in love they're automatically sinning. That makes absolutely no sense. I have no idea how to interpret the Bible when it explicitly says it's wrong because I don't understand why. So far the Spirit has been pretty mum on that when I pray about it.

If someone says they're gay, they're definitely gay, and whether that's a sin is between them and God. It's not my business to arbitrate that relationship.
