Reddit is about people going to subs where others in that sub support their already preconceived ideas. Controversial ideas within that sub are "discouraged." Then there are the trolls and the people who think they are being funny. It's hard to discuss ideas and differeing viewpoints and different approaches to a subject. The group think mentality or hive mind is limiting to discussion as well as currently ideology of just bashing and name calling. Go to a feminist sub or a mens sub and suggest that they might be overdoing it a bit and you get banned. That, and the quality of the posts and responses has definitely has gone down. I, too, tire of it.
