Why does it feel like I’m not “in” on social secrets that everyone else is “in” on?

Everybody has their own path to take. Don't compare yourself to others. As long as you keep putting yourself out there, the confidence to know you can handle whatever pops up will come eventually. Even if you are a slow learner.

Often what distinguishes a slow learner from a fast is that a slower person has to understand something much more thoroughly before they are comfortable thinking they "know" something. Whereas someone who is fast is more instinctual with their "understanding." Yes, it means you will be behind them initially but it also typically means that when you get there you will have a much more reliable approach to things and be able to better communicate your reasoning. That is how it has always been for me. I don't really know if that applies to you. I am just spit-balling.

I hope it helps.
