I don’t like dogs

Yeah this makes sense. But they chose the dog over alot time for socializing. It can sound weird, but especially for introvert, they might need and love the time spend home with dog as much as with time spend with you.

I have experienced this, not so much with friends, but with dating. "Why didn't you drop her off to someone else when you knew I was coming?" Not really how pet owning works and defo not a long term solution. "She smells." Yeah, probly. I like the smell. "I can't sleep when she is walking around." Yeah, I get that, and we don't have to sleep together then. "Why can't she shut up when left alone outside?" Because she doesn't know this city.

I know some people get annoyed of too much dog talk. And about dogs overall. Like someone being too much into cryptos or football or that thing where you roll around tires and stuff. Or cars. Or gardening. Or cooking. Or having needy child with poor manners.

I know it can feel even hurtful if someone chooses their pet over you. Timewise or datingwise or whatever. That is how responsible dog owner does, they knew what they got into.

I use my dogs as an excuse if I get tired to socializing. I never travel but that's how it would be for me anyhow.

I do my best that my dogs won't bother people. Last decade I have had many friends that are not in my life anymore. All that time my now senior dog has been there. She is one of my best relationships although right now I am shouting "shut up" like I have done thousands of times. She is annoying.
