I don't want to be "that guy" but is anyone else finding the update already frustrating more than a good way to get orbs again?

I don't know why you think time is going to give me any more capable units than what I have now. It hasn't since Tempest, hasn't since the arena changes, etc. Because RNG is harsh. I felt obligated to spend the stamina on the first day because of all this stamina heavy nonsense that keeps being added, and because the seal is beneficial, even if only slightly. I would want the seal for Tempest so I'd just spend it on Thursday or whatever anyway. I didn't want Tempest+the seal+leveling units to all be clashing, which they kind of will be anyway but to a much lesser extent.

It doesn't have quite the same flaws as Tempest, it just has different ones. Chain Challenge is punishing as hell with the team restrictions+no idea what's coming up on top of the absurd stamina cost vs poor reward (again, Lunatic reward is good). You sacrifice hundreds of stamina just learning what units you need to take with you in order to succeed - that's TERRIBLE game design, it was with Tempest and it is here. Also, Tempest is "technically" temporary, but the fact that we're getting a second one later this month means it's still very relevant in discussions.

I don't see why you think it's technically much different than Tempest either. High stamina cost, low reward/run, punishing if you take too long/lose units/etc. There's no difference on that front. The only real difference is the permanence, but again, that's not relevant to those flaws still being a thing that exist.

I'm frustrated because it's yet another gametype/update that caters purely to whales or people who got lucky with pulls, while it's an extreme struggle for people who got shit units or don't have hundreds of dollars to through at the game. On a business level I understand why, but it's extremely shitty in general.
