Dragon Age: Inquisition didn't age well...

I suppose what I found interesting about Dragon Age was that the developer gave some characters actual sexual orientations. Rather than simply allowing your Inquisitor to romance any character whatsoever, they made sure Sera was locked to female only, and Cassandra was locked to male only. I think many of them were open (so it didn't matter what sex your Inquisitor was) but I do remember Sera and Cassandra having restrictions.

I'm sort of of two minds about this, in that... yes, it's realistic, and says something meaningful about the characters. But on the other hand the reality is that there's only so much time and energy that can be spent putting content in the game, so if you lock stuff behind player gender choices then the game ends up seeming a bit smaller as a result. It's not like real life where there are billions of potential romance interests out there.
