My switch just recently died, stopped charging and wont even turn on now, I know its anecdotal but I've been noticing alot of posts about switches dying this month, I'm starting to wonder if these things have self destruct timers in then, mine was a launch switch as well, so warranty ran out a year ago, Nintendo will most likely charge the full cost of a replacement if I send it in, and I cant find anyone currently willing to replace the usb ic chip which is what is most likely is wrong with mine, could be the same with yours as well.

I'm assuming you've tried all the basic stuff, like holding the power button for at least 60 seconds.

Nintendo is missing out, I was still planning on buying more games for a 98 a pop, after tax. This whole experience just makes me want to list my switch for parts, add it to the other thousand dead switches on Ebay. Most likely what I'm going to do.
