Drama in r/ketogains when someone suggests to a cancer patient to ignore their doctor's instructions

My father has really bad issues with psoriasis (to the point where he gets joint pain in addition to huge patches of plaque and sores).
Also, it appears his particular form is genetic as both me and my brother have milder forms of it as well.
For him, cyclosporine as well as another injected drug that is taken once a couple of months (which I cannot recall the name of :P) worked for a while but have stopped being effective a couple of years ago unless he alternates between them.

I've never heard about UV therapy for psoriasis though.
Do you have personal experience with it?
In that case, do you think it would be worth discussing it with his dermatologist?

I know the whole point of the thread was to talk to doctors about the treatements but he has never brought this up himself so I'm just curious about your expriences.
Cheers.
