Dried Fingers?

Alright, alright. Probably unfair to call you a dumbass, sorry about that.

Couple of points. First, wasn't applauding the low-level gankers. If that's what people choose to do, they have to go through a tough gauntlet to do so. I.E. Keeping a character lower than Soul Level 11, keeping Armor/Weapons light enough to manage, tackling the Four Kings before you place the Lord-Vessel.

So it's a pay off, if you're low-level invading it means you've gone through hell to do so, in an effort to gank low-level players. I was actually identifying with the Hosts that would stay in that low level, not tackle the Taurus Demon to maintain the invasions, and would bait out the low-level invaders using the Dried Fingers. They expect a low-level host, and get one with upgraded gear and weapons instead.

Ultimately I think we're both about the same thing, just a misunderstanding. I'd rather have a fair system all around, where the invader and the host both engage in an equally balanced fight. As it is, there is no such thing and there are natural advantages to being the host. Namely, the Host can summon assistance, and naturally will have a higher HP pool to draw from, and can end a fight by engaging the boss. Compared to invaders who enter with less HP, fights a 1v1 in the best of circumstances, and can lose the fight by being too far away to catch the host before he enters the boss arena.

This is the way of things, and there doesn't seem to be any workaround for it. Since there is no 'fair' invasion system, I'd rather retain my HP percentage and have people invade me. I guess that makes me a scumbag for wanting to have the win.
