Acting as if slave labor only exists in Dubai is so fucking laughable. Americans fight fires with slave labor, they work farms with slave labor, any prison manufacturing job is slave labor. These dudes in Dubai get paid a lot more than American prison firefighters.

Singapore promises the same dream to Bangladeshis as Saudi Arabia, they do the exact same shit yet I virtually never hear about people shitting in Singapore for the slave labor.

Also, it may be considered slave labor to a bunch of first world people looking on from their cushy homes and beds, these guys working construction in Dubai. And although it’s not a living wage in Dubai, it’s far more than they could ever hope to imagine making in their hometown of “x”. There’s a reason people get convinced to move out to dubai so regularly. Even on peasant pay in dubai, the money they send home lets their family live like royalty.

People have absolutely no grasp of geopolitical systems it seems. These workers are not naive about the situation they are getting themselves into. Or everyone has some moral high ground argument when it’s so easy to see every superpower on the planet abusing some group of people to get what they want.

China and Uighurs, Americans and prisoners, Russians and Chechnyans/Ukrainians & dissidents.

What people hate them for having better infrastructure from their slaves? Most all of major American cities started on the back of slave labor.

You can’t be an American shitting on Dubai unless you demolish all the living monuments to slave labor. Which would be every single standing building over 100 years old, and perhaps even later than that. There were actually legitimate slavers in the US until the late 1900s.

Im not saying it’s right, but if you’re from any “developed” country and you’re shitting on Dubai, the likelihood of you being a total hypocrite is very very high.
