I mean, content creators make their bread from promoting optimal strategies like Izanagi/GL for PvE or whatever else for PvP meta. It’s kind of hypocritical for content creators to promote meta usage by finding optimal loadouts then blame Bungie for reacting to the subsequent increase in usage. It’s probably not entirely content creator’s fault either, but there’s a lot of “meta or noob” mentality out there. People use what’s best not because it’s good but because they also respond to social pressures. No one wants to be the player in LFG who is using “suboptimal” loadouts. Correlation is not causation, just because Bungie is responding to weapons with high usage rates doesn’t mean that’s the only reason they are balancing them.
