Employers of Reddit. What's the most stand-out reason you didn't hire someone for?

I'm not an employer but I'm about to graduate college so a lot of my peers are going on interviews and such.

Earlier today, I was talking to a friend about a job interview he did a while back and he said he never got a call back. I asked him why he thought he didn't get a call back and he said he thinks it's because the interviewer asked where [my friend] gets his Cyber Security news. His answer: reddit.

I've noticed that a lot of employers and professors have been asking where we get our Cyber Security news lately. Like what blogs or news clippings are we subscribed to in order to find the best Cyber Security information and my normal answer is Krebs On Security and some various bloggers.

When my friend mentioned reddit, the employer [apparently] changed his demeanor and didn't really seem receptive to [my friend]'s answers anymore. I think the employer has a bad experience with reddit or something, but there are plenty of good subs to get info from (/r/pwned and /r/NetworkSecurity are two good ones).
