You can't control his reaction, you can only control yourself. Don't beat around the bush, be straightforward and calm, don't argue or make a scene. Just stay humble, follow the 4th commandment, and if he lashes out at you, remember the sermon of the mount.

Remember the Jews toiling in Egypt, and walking across the desert; and also the Jews who were exiled in Babylon. Jeremiah was sent to tell them: "seek the welfare of this city where you are exiled, because in its welfare you will find your welfare". I'm referencing these stories as examples of how to live in less than friendly environments. Just in case.

Also don't get annoying and try to convert him or anything. Remember Jesus warned there's a lot of people walking around going "lord, lord" but it's all bark and no bite. By their fruits you will know them. So just be a good person and remember he's still your dad no matter what.
