I’m not trying to shit talk anybody but it’s weird because in the room dan is the person who shoots down ideas. Anytime anyone pitches something, dan takes it and brainstorms and runs with it, but ultimately he’s the person who goes “but then, if summer is there she can’t be mad about spaghetti” and kills the idea. But the thing is it’s not always clear what he finds bad or unworkable about the idea. So the reality is nobody but him is allowed to say ideas don’t work, when he says an idea doesn’t work that’s the end of the discussion, and when anyone else points out a flaw in a story pitch he gets mad at them for “finding out why ideas won’t work”
