The hypocrisy is real. All the people voluntarily acting as a guarantor for random refugees took some serious costs for them to stay. I don’t know if I made myself clear enough: A guarantor is a legally bound person to pay for someone else’s expenses. When payday came, they really had the nerve and try to get the taxpayer to pay their debt. AND GOVERNMENT SAID YES. For fucks sake! My grandma can’t afford shit from her retirement money and my parents are legally bound to pay for her expenses, and some random people making debt for non-tax-paying foreigners get their asses wiped by our social system. My grandparents were refugees too when they fled from east Germany. They worked their asses off to make an affordable living, only to find out later that their retirement money was cut short below poverty limit due to missing years of income in west Germany.
