[reflected in a pair of glasses, a computer screen flips through pages on the internet]
-booming trailer voice-: IN A WORLD WHERE SOCIAL MEDIA, CREDIT CARDS, CELLPHONES, AND ONLINE ACTIVITY TRACK YOUR EVERY MOVE
[CUT- police knocking at a door on a rainy night in NYC] "Mr. Odlaw, this is a police! We have a warrant - open the damn door now!"
ONE MAN
[CUT- a darkened train station, a woman dressed in a red trenchcoat and hat waits in the shadows] "It's already past midnight. I thought you wouldn't show." "I paid a lot of money for this. You knew I'd be here."
HAS FOUND A WAY
[CUT- the two runaways ascend the staircase of a huge mansion/cut- in the Main Man's office, mahogany desk and all] "What do you mean I can't hide out here? I thought we cut a deal" "I promised you'd be well taken care of Mr. Odlaw. I'll keep to my word"
[CUT- NYPD station, two scruffy faced men stand sternly by the Chief Officer's desk] "Detective Hardy - do you really think you and your brother will be able to find him?" "We do this the old fashioned way. No convict - no ransom."
TO ESCAPE FROM IT ALL
[CUT- a sunny day, cliff overlooking a sparkling ocean, clouds rushing overhead. The woman in red kicks the kickstand from under the motorcycle, and revs the engine] "Maybe you should ditch the stupid sweater, for anonymity's sake" [close-up smirk] "Look who's talking" [gets on the motorcycle, engine rev]
[CUT- riding the coastal freeway, he hangs on to her big red hat. Waldo shouting over rushing noise of the wind and engine] "Know what, Carmen, it's starting to look like Main Man knows what he's doing"
[music stops]
[CUT- Detectives Hardy spread out a map on a large table in a darkened basement, one of them drags his finger down a significant coastline, and suddenly stops, looking up at his brother with a mischievous grin] "They said he was gonna be hard to find"
[Music starts again]
[CUT- Carmen wielding a gun in each hand] "Don't you FUCKING come near him!" [CUT- Waldo running at top speed through darkened brick alleys] [CUT- Carmen, knife to her throat] "RUN, Odlaw, goddammit!" [CUT- Hardy Bros car flipping mid top-speed chase]
[music stops]
[CUT- Eerie blue light. Waldo, sweating, chest moving up and down slowly, back against a wall trying not to make a sound. A knock on the wall.]
