yes, i’m definitely moving in the next few years. my parents and older family love it here which is totally understandable because they’re all “wealthy” compared to most and already own homes that are paid or almost paid off. for someone in their 20’s, it’s very unlikely i’ll ever own a house here other than when my parents pass and i get theirs. it’s not livable here for the younger people imo, or older if you’re not well off. in order to live on my own i have to put almost all of my money per month towards rent if i want to live alone or i have to have a bunch of roommates. all of my friends feel the same way, my sister is moving out of state this weekend. i know people used to love it here for the weather but it’s been 95-110 degrees for weeks which isn’t enjoyable to me and i hardly ever go to the beach enough for that to really be a positive factor of living here.
