Revenue Officer IRS

Did you read the position description and do you know what a revenue officer actually does?

Revenue officer is basically the debt collector for the IRS. I'm not a RO but I have friends who used to be. They basically told me they spent the vast majority of their time calling people and sending letters trying to get people to pay their IRS debt. Be prepared to be verbally harassed on a daily basis. Heard managers are high-pressure to get accounts to be settled.

It is a crappy job honestly. Most people I know who took RO position are looking to get into federal system and then internally transfer to a better gig within the feds.

If you are already a GS-12/13 I wouldn't take this position, let alone taking a pay cut AND have to relocate as well. I would only do it if you absolutely hate your current work.

These friends I knew where RO like 10 years ago so stuff might have changed recently.
