i feel so alone and close to giving up

Hi rswta. I agree with Ayanka88 that you should take it one step at a time, because fighting depression is a war, not a battle. But...I think that starting tomorrow you should wake up at a reasonable hour, brush your teeth, get dressed, and go outside and see the sun. Maybe even take a short walk, even a little bit of exercise will make you feel good. Eating healthy is also good but not as important (IMO) as those other things.
Don't worry about your dreams/goals/aspirations for now, that always made me feel overwhelmed when I was at my worst. Just focus on the next 24 hours. If you do those few things, you will feel slightly better. Then you might keep doing them. Then you might feel good enough to do other things.

I'm not a psychologist but I've been where you are, a deep dark hole that feels impossible to get out of, and all I can say is focus on the short term. Waking up, getting out of bed, and brushing your teeth is a good place to start. If you start doing those things, I bet you will feel like you can do more after a few days.
