Never Ending Diaper Rash

Go see a pediatric dermatologist. Best thing I ever did with my daughter who is 21 months. She had one spot that would never go away no matter what. Dermatologist put her on a steroid for three weeks, said only to wipe her when she poops and with Viva paper towels only. And put Vaseline or a 20% zinc oxide ointment on every time.

Her rash went away almost immediately, but started coming back days after the treatment stopped. At our follow up the derm said to continue with the same regiments, but a different topical ointment twice a day for 3 months. Looks even better than before!

But seriously don’t blame yourself. My daughter goes to daycare full time, I trust they are following the diaper routine, and I know she just has sensitive skin. Find a good pediatric dermatologist in your area. It’s likely you may need them again in the future of your little one has sensitive skin too.
