Fidelity's latest report says portfolios should consider 5% Bitcoin allocation

This still doesn’t answer why bitcoin will be worth more in the future.

The supply side is known, and it has dwindling to a pretty low rate of increase. 88% of all bitcoin there will ever be are already in circulation.

On the demand side, it's a gradual increase of adoption at multiple levels.

  • On the gold bug side: Peter Schiff won't touch bitcoin... but his son is more open to it.
  • On the casual user side, for youngsters coming of age bitcoin has existed throughout their teen years, it's not new or weird to them. Every day more people come of age who might care about bitcoin and older people who never would die off.
  • On the institutional side the infrastructure is finally reaching the maturity level where institutions can buy and store bitcoin safely, and social acceptance of this is increasing now that some major companies have been the first to break the taboo.

TLDR: rate of supply is known and keeps reducing, rate of demand steadily increases as reaching full adoption is long gradual process (decades).
