The FIFA executive committee has approved the Qatar 2022 World Cup final to be played on the 18th December

Did I say something wrong? Can anyone refute what I said/make some discussion instead of just downvoting me?

Lemme spell it out for you. The original comment was a joke based on the fact that the MLS is often criticized for playing an opposite schedule as the European leagues and thus playing through the World Cup. The joke was light-hearted and there was no hint of trying to generate debate or controversy.

But then your reply had a strong tone of "MLS doesn't matter because the players aren't good enough to play in the World Cup". Now, I know you didn't say that, but that is how it came off. But then you were shown to essentially be wrong, since a significant number MLS players were in the last World Cup, enough to really have an effect on the league. So, I hope it's obvious why your first comment was downvoted.

Now, for the comment I'm replying to. Your first mistake was even replying at all. You could have had the most accurate, relevant comment ever but it wouldn't matter because your credibility is already destroyed based on the inaccuracy of your first comment. It's good to know when to just shut up and walk away.

Your second mistake is here:

since we're viewing the impact collectively we have to compare the leagues on a similar cycle to the MLS to the ones that follow the european cycle

Who is this we? No one is viewing the impact collectively except for you. We don't have to compare anything. We already know that the vast majority of top players play in Europe, and we are fully aware of the massive disruption that's about to happen because of a winter WC.

Thus, it appears as if you're very unnecessarily doubling down on your tone of "MLS doesn't matter", which of course is very offensive to the fans of the MLS for which it matters a large deal. I know you likely didn't mean it that way, but that's how it comes off
