Five players, what to play with a game of Dixit in between?

Mysterium is probably too similar to Dixit, plus one person in the group has a pretty solitary experience each time.

Isle of Skye might work. It's a medium-light game masquerading as a light one! It's easy to teach, easy to understand and plays five. Whilst it's pretty simple in concept it really does have you agonising over how much to price your tiles so that you keep the ones you need for points but also sell the others at a good price so you have plenty of money for subsequent rounds. I think it'd work well and it would only take about 90 minutes for five players, so you could definitely get a couple of games in of an evening. As the scoring tiles drawn differ from game to game there a fair amount of variability in each game too.

Isle of Skye does have you working on your own maps though, so the only interaction is in the buying/selling stage. If you want something a bit more interactive but without direct confrontation then you may be better off with a worker placement such as Viticulture or Lords of Waterdeep, where there's contention over which actions you can do.
