'Flowers - Vase' Art / Painting - Ontario, Canada

I don't need to get people interested in my art, it's already well enough known

Was that designed to make me feel inferior for not knowing who you are? You say you don't need to generate interest in it, yet that is exactly what you're trying to do here, by just throwing it in the pile of noise.

and the category is r/Canada... is there some reason why r/Canada has to be about politics or social commentary? There's a little bit more to Canada than that... like Art.

And to answer your other condescending question, no there isn't a reason your post should be political or a social commentary on the present era your living in, but it should include more than just a title and picture. It's ironic that you're saying that, after posting a 5th gen Ab Ex painting, because that entire movement was very much against being anything political. It's also a recreation of an American art movement, so no it really doesn't speak of anything particularly Canadian, other than the creator being Canadian. When you talk to people in a condescending way, it makes them not care about your art. Why not tell the community what you are showing them? I mean I guess because it's your art everyone should automatically know that, or care, but hey what do I know? You're the artist here. I guess nobody is interested in background info, or stories relating to what they are looking at, you know like marketing concepts. Notice how this post has more comments than any of your other "art" posts? If you have no need of posting to generate interest, why do you continue to post when no one is engaging you? The last 10 posts are all zero comments, because you don't give people anything to engage you with. The only other commented post is form an automoderator removing your post because you didn't follow the guidelines of that community. I have gotten more info about you from just commenting and getting your angry replies, than you have given from all your other posts.
