The biggest thing is, so many exotics are fun to use and that’s what they should be. They should all do something unique that makes them fun to use but they also can’t break the game. It’s a tricky line to walk.

Honestly, a lot of exotics (at least weapons) would be fun to use as they already sit, but so many other things are broken right now. It takes all the fun out of using them because you need to use other broken stuff if you want to even have a chance most of them. Erentjl, mountaintop, TLW, contraverse hold, lord of wolves. It takes all the fun out of trying new things cause you don’t stand a chance if you’re looking to play for a bit of fun.

As far as armor goes, I’m on hunter most of the time and feel like I can use about 15 different pieces of gear across PvP or PvE if I wanted to. I love the hunter exotics. Warlock also has its fair share of exotic options but I’d say there’s less diversity and less interesting ability options for the exotics of this class. Titans honestly don’t have much of anything worth using. I was a titan main in D1 but in D2 I have no interest in playing with my titan at all. The exotics for PvP are lackluster but the exotics for PvE are horrendous. I tried picking something to use for the dungeon when I was running it on three characters and I couldn’t find a damn thing that seemed fun and interesting to try.

When it comes to catalysts, I can’t really complain about how any of them work. If something just improves weapon stats, I’m all for it. If it adds an option for a second firing type, I love that too. I want a catalyst that improves the gun in any way possible. The biggest thing is I think every exotic gun should have a catalyst as soon as the gun comes out. Give us a quest, make it drop randomly, force us to play 200 activities with it, I don’t care. Every gun should have their catalyst available in one way or another as soon as it comes out. Give us some things to chance.
